Helping in the race to save Oxford Covid vaccine factory from flooding

Last week, Storm Christoph caused an increased amount of flooding and the levels of the River Dee rose to the highest ever recorded. Millions of doses of the Oxford Coronavirus vaccine are being made at the Wockhardt warehouse on the Wrexham Industrial Estate. Flood water, caused by the storm, threatened to engulf the warehouse and the precious supply of millions of vaccines.

However, we were able to provide pumps at short notice to help prevent the flooding of the warehouse. The site is now secure and free from damage.

We are always open to giving a helping hand to essential services during this pandemic and are proud of our contribution to preventing this setback.
